A quote is not a guarantee, although some states, such as Maine require that a Cumberland mover give you a “not to exceed” price before the actual move. You are obligated to pay any remaining charges for any additional services that you requested or that were required to accomplish your move that are over 110% of the total amount 30 days after your shipment is delivered. Give your new address to banks and financial institutions, local government agencies, federal agencies and the IRS. The mover is legally obligated to acknowledge any claim within 30 days and to resolve it or offer a settlement within 120 days. |
